Nigeria Interim Government Plot is a new fact, released by the DSS, due to the fact that certain group of people has taken to the street, to protest about the result of the presidential election, that took place in February 25th 2023.

This was revealed by Peter Afunanya, a spokesman for the DSS. Stating that there are certain ring leaders who are trying everything possible (raising plots) to delay the inauguration of the president elect; Bola Tinubu.

As a result of this we have decided to put up few FAQ to clear your doubts about the issues. Lets go!!!

FAQ 1: What is Interim Government?

A provisional government, also called an interim government, an emergency government, or a transitional government. It is an emergency governmental authority set up to manage a political transition generally in the cases of a newly formed state or following the collapse of the previous governing administration.

The phrase can also be said to be “It is a group of people formed to provide temporary government until a permanent government is established”.

With the above meaning, you’ll see that it is not a common situation in a democratic system. However, about five African countries; “South Sudan,Libya, Sudan, Burkina Faso, and Chad currently have provisional governments.

FAQ 2: Has Nigerian had an Interim Government before?

Ernest Shonekan was the first to be installed and led Nigeria as the Head of the then Nigeria Interim Government in 1993 after the first Democratic election of MKO Abiola. As a result of the Annulment of the June 12 election by the sitting Head of state, General Ibrahim Babaginda.

Shonekan was However removed after three months by General Sani Abacha. Through a coup that took place on November 17, 1993. Three month after Ernest served as the Interim Government Head.

FAQ 3: Is Interim Government Good in a Democratic State?

It is a fact, that the consideration of provisional government, in a Democratic state will reduce the the true glory of Democracy. This is because, If a country claims to be democratic, they its leaders must come into power through democracy.

Don’t forget that Democracy is a form of government in which the people choose their representatives and those representatives make laws and policies on behalf of the people. It is based on the principles of representation and equality.

FAQ 4: Is another Nigeria Interim Government Even Possible?

Without a place for emotions, I will boldly tell you that, It is not possible again in a country like Nigeria with over 200 million citizens. However, what do I know?. Few days before the presidential election ion February 25th 2023, a man of God named Bishop Feyi took to Facebook to make certain prophesies (Spiritual predictions as many would call it).

The man of God claimed that many of His predictions has been fulfilled and all will be fulfilled. Part of the prophesy revealed that Nigeria would experience an Interim Government which would be proposed by PMB and Professor Yemi Osinbanjo will Head the Government. Is that even enough to say that Interim Government is feasible in Nigeria? No. Considering the response of the current president of Nigeria. Muhammadu Buhari, He clearly stated that nothing will stop the inauguration of the president Elect. He also signed a bill to ban the protest against the inauguration that is to take place on May 29, 2023.

FAQ 4: What Should Nigerians do as things fold Up?
